Mammogram Screening Camp by SRIHER at T.
Nagar
As part of a comprehensive Multi-Speciality Medical Camp, Sri Ramachandra Institute
of Higher Education and Research in association with NSS SRIHER and Inner Wheel
Club of Madras Metro conducted a Free Mammogram Screening on 13th October 2025
at Nalli Chinnaswamy Chetty Panagal Park, T. Nagar, Chennai. Camp inauguration was
done by Mrs. Devi Mathimaran, Chairman, Inner Wheel District 323.
The initiative aimed to promote early detection and awareness of breast cancer among
women in the community. Expert doctors, radiologists, and healthcare professionals from
SRIHER were available to provide on-spot screening, consultation, and guidance on breast
health and preventive care.
The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from local residents and employees of Nalli
silks, with many women availing free mammogram services and educational sessions on
self-examination techniques, lifestyle factors, and the importance of regular check-up.
The camp also was inclusive of screening for the dental diseases and awareness regarding
the same.
This initiative reflects SRIHER’s ongoing commitment to community health outreach,
women’s wellness, and early cancer detection, reinforcing the message, “Early detection
saves lives.”
