SRIHER SETS UP VR SIMULATION LAB IN TIE UP WITH MEDISIM

Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research in association with Medisim VR is setting a virtual reality simulation training lab for medical and paramedical students to practice procedures and develop clinical skills in a safe and controlled setting. Dr. Uma Sekar, Vice Chancellor, SRIHER and Dr. Adith Chinnaswami, Co-Founder of Medisim VR signed an MoU for this project. Dr. Uma Sekar said the lab offers UG and PG students of the 14 constituent colleges of SRIHER an immersive environment for safe practical and credible means to acquire clinical skills in a simulated environment. This state of the art virtual reality lab will enhance excellence and innovation in learning. VR and its application is a classic example of medical and engineering interface in research and training, she added.

Dr. Adith Chinnaswami said the lab will benefit in students’ career development and placement opportunities by equipping them with hands on experience, boosting the confidence and expertise in medical procedures.
