Program Outcomes

Individuals with M.Sc.Clinical Psychology assist RCI certified Clinical Psychologists in the clinical setting.

With supervision, they focus on Psychological evaluation to understand the psychopathology behind mental disorders and implement Psychotherapeutic techniques to alleviate the symptoms.

The Biopsychosocial model of health is followed to understand psychopathology and promote and maintain mental health of individuals.

M.Sc. Clinical Psychology provides greater exposure and training in the field of mental health, which adequately prepares the student for pursuing M Phil in Clinical Psychology.

Whereas Medical Psychologists work predominantly in general hospital settings catering to individuals with psychosomatic/somatoform disorders and life style disorders, Clinical Psychologists work predominantly in mental health settings dealing with minor and major psychiatric disorders.

Eligibility

A candidate who seeks admission for M.Sc. (Clinical Psychology) shall
be required to hold a Bachelor’s Degree (B.A or B.Sc.) in Psychology from
any University recognized by the UGC in regular mode with a minimum of
55% marks or B+ Grade. For SC/ST/OBC category, minimum of 50%
marks in aggregate is essential.
