Student Council

A thriving campus is not built alone—it is built together. The Student Council brings students together to organize events, voice concerns, and create a community where everyone belongs.

At SRIHER, the Student Council works in unison to foster a balance between the academic and the extracurricular spheres of campus life. The Council serves as the voice of the students, working to address their concerns and improve campus life. They serve as a bridge between the management and the students. The Council is a space where students learn to take on responsibilities, solve challenges, and grow into leaders who make a difference.

The Student Council represents the pinnacle of student governance. With representation from all constituent faculties, it consists of 46 students selected through a rigorous application and interview process, miming a mini-campus interview, making it an experience in itself.

The student council works closely with the student clubs and creates a holistic environment for the students to explore their interests, talents, and passions. The Council skillfully addresses student concerns through monthly meetings with the Dean – Students and the team. Additionally, they contribute actively to university administration by participating in several committees, including the Internal Quality Assurance Cell, Anti-ragging Committee, Anti-drugs Committee, Hostel and Mess Committee, and Education Units, ensuring student perspectives shape institutional decisions. The Council takes on responsibilities on behalf of students during university events like convocations, graduation day, university day, and several other celebrations on campus.
