Bioanalytical Lab
This Bioanalytical Lab is dedicated to the analysis of biological samples to measure substances such as drugs, metabolites, proteins, and other biomarkers. It specializes in pharmaceutical, clinical, and environmental analysis, employing sustainable (green analytical tools) and Quality by Design (QbD) approaches.
The lab predominantly utilizes High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) for its analyses. Additionally, advanced techniques like Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS) and Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) are outsourced as needed to support both quantitative and qualitative research.
Key functions of the lab include:
- Providing training for faculty and students on analytical instrumentation
- Supporting postgraduate and PhD research projects in collaboration with the DST-FIST sponsored lab
- Hosting workshops that are open to external students
- Collaborating with internal clinicians from Radiation Oncology and Microbiology departments
- Partnering with external pharmaceutical industries for advanced research and experimental execution
The lab serves as a hub for analytical excellence and research innovation, contributing significantly to academic and industry collaborations.
