Bio
I am a general dentist and a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Public Health Dentistry, Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research, Chennai, India. I have demonstrated experience in interdisciplinary dental educational research with robust interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. I have over two decades of expertise in planning, development and implementation of scientific programs and camps by facilitating tangible actions, prioritizing group consensus, conscious partnership development and active engagement of team members from an array of backgrounds. I graduated with Masters in Clinical Psychology with emphasis in the domains of desensitization, cognitive behavior therapy and interpersonal therapy. I have been recognized for harmonious yet pragmatic organizational judgments, coordinating research projects and in providing research and administrative support in ambiguous and sensitive environments through strong cohesive inter/intra team partnerships. I have exhibited committed passion to achieve desired results, and meet required project timelines. I have played a pivotal role in three systematic reviews –two during the first lockdown of COVID-19 era and the other in 2023. I have attended the workshop for “Developing a protocol for a Systematic Review” conducted by Cochrane, South Asia at CMC Vellore that enhanced my skills to contribute and aid in completion of these two systematic reviews. I have initiated the concept of “Psychological Ownership” for dental undergraduate training program in the department of Pediatric and Preventive Dentisty-2016-2023. Further I am a team player.
