Co guide for a Chancellor Summer Research Project. Dental caries is one of the most prevalent chronic conditions. While visual examination is the most accepted method of diagnosing occlusal caries, it doesn’t allow for maintenance of records of the basis of diagnosis. The purpose of this study is to compare the efficiency of radiovisiography and smartphone photography to that of visual examination. The objective is to find the best method of assessment and maintenance of physical/digital record of evidence of the presence of caries. All three systems was  assessed by examiners using standardized method (ICDAS II) in vivo.
