Yoga for Optimal Performance and Recovery in Indian Rowers

In collaboration with: Swami Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana Samsthana University (S-VYASA), Bengaluru, Karnataka & Central Council for Research in Yoga and Naturopathy (CCRYN), Janakpuri, New Delhi

Objectives:

• To assess the effectiveness of 3 months of Yoga intervention on physical,

physiological, psychological and cognitive aspects of recovery and performance

outcomes among professional rowers.

• To develop and validate a structured yoga-based recovery module tailored to the

specific demands of professional rowers.

• To develop the multimodal approach to recovery in sports by exploring the

relationship between the individual variables and their combined influence on

recovery and performance determinants among professional rowers.

• To compare the effects of integrative and conventional approaches in sports

recovery.

Sample Size – 84 participants
