Dr. G. Jabarethina holds a Ph.D. in Management Sciences, preceded by an M.Com., M.B.A., and M.Phil. Degrees from the University of Madras. She is also qualified for the National Eligibility Test (NET) in Management, awarded by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
She has over 23 years of academic experience, currently serving as an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Management at Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research (Deemed to be University) since 2007. Her previous academic roles include lecturer and head of the Department of Commerce at Annai Veilankanni’s College, Chennai (2002–2007), and guest lecturer in the Department of Commerce at Queen Mary’s College, Chennai (2001–2002). Between 2007 and 2010, she also taught management courses for the M.E. (Biomedical Engineering) program at Anna University, Chennai.
Since 2013, Dr. Jabarethina has been regularly invited as a resource person by the Department of Commerce at Ethiraj College for Women, Chennai, where she handles sessions on research methodology, research design, and data analysis and interpretation for undergraduate, postgraduate, and research scholars.
Her teaching and research interests span human resource management, organizational behavior, healthcare management, and digital health. She has guided more than 70 MBA projects (major and mini) and has published 23 research articles in peer-reviewed and indexed journals. Additionally, she has presented 29 research papers at national and international conferences, earning five Best Paper Awards for her scholarly contributions. She is currently supervising Ph.D. scholars in the domains of human resource management and healthcare technology.
Dr. Jabarethina is actively involved in academic administration. She serves as the member secretary of the education unit for health science colleges and as a member of the Learning Management System (LMS) Committee at Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research (Deemed to be University).

The research program aims to create an overall research programme to distil lessons from isolated areas of technological innovation and adoption throughout public health, primary care, secondary care, and tertiary care and to develop a competency development framework that can be replicated across the healthcare ecosystem. The research programme is based on Grounded Theory, and it works carefully and systematically across the healthcare domain to unearth clear methods and methodologies for developing a digitalization roadmap at various levels. The goal of the research programme is to develop a strategic management framework to scale digital health in India.

Awarded Best Paper-Faculty category entitled “Organisational Citizenship Behaviour and its effect on Organisational Performance” in the International Conference on HR-The era of cure at School of Management, SRM Institute of Science and Technology on 25th and 26th October 2018.
Recognized as an “ Aspiring Research Ambassador” of Sri Ramachandra University in appreciation of promising research potential as demonstrated by quality research publications on 27th February 2017.
Received Thiru G.K. Raman Best Research Publication Gold Medal for Best Publication from the University for the year 2014 under the Faculty of Management for a large number of indexed publications in Management on11.3.2015.
Awarded a prize for the Best Paper entitled “A study about opinion of nurses on opportunities and performance outcomes in high performance work system at a corporate multi-speciality hospital, Chennai “in the UGC and TANSCHE sponsored International Conference on “Emerging trends in Commerce and Management”. It was organized by the Department of Commerce & Corporate Secretaryship, Queen Mary’s College, Chennai on 29-30 July 2015.
Awarded a prize for the Best Paper entitled on “A study on Competency of Nurses towards Service Quality at a Multi speciality Hospital” at a National Conference on ‘Paradigm shift in Management to achieve Excellence’ on27th September 2013 organized by College of management, Sri Ramachandra University, ISBN:978-93-83241-03-3, P.No. 1-5. (This paper won best paper award and Rs. 2000/- cash award).
