Geetha Dhandapani completed her B.Sc. in Nursing in the year 2002 and worked as a Clinical
Instructor and Tutor at M.S. Ramaiah Institute of Higher Education and Research. She pursued her postgraduate studies in Pediatric Nursing at Sri Ramachandra College of Nursing, specializing in Neonatology. In 2011, she earned an M.Sc. in Psychology from Madras University, Chennai. Since 2008, she has been a lecturer in the Department of Pediatric Nursing. Geetha has actively participated in various faculty development programs, workshops, and conferences. She has balanced her roles as an academician, clinician, and hospital administrator. Her areas of interest include pediatric critical care nursing and oncology. She has developed and contributed to Pediatric Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) stations for the College of Nursing on behalf of the Tamil Nadu Nurses and Midwives Council. In 2023, she received a summer research scholarship from the university for student projects. Her notable research on antibiotic practices for respiratory tract infections among mothers of children under five was well-received and earned her an appreciation award for publication in a Q1 journal. Her research has been presented at various national and international forums. Geetha also coordinates the University National Service Scheme (NSS) as the Program Officer for Unit II, a role she has successfully held for nearly four years.
