Dr. Krupa M., is an Associate Professor at the Department of Speech Language Pathology, SRFASLP. She is also a Hanen certified Speech Language Pathologist and runs parent empowerment programmes (It Takes Two To Talk & More Than Words) for families of children with communication difficulties especially due to developmental disorders. Her Ph.D research findings and publications from the same provide evidence on culture, language and geographic area specific information on communication skills of parents and children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). She also supervises student activities and works closely with multidisciplinary teams on campus – Vidyasudha Early Intervention Centre and Karthikeyan Child Development Unit. Her research and clinical practice are predominantly in the area of development and communication in children with language disorders and parent empowerment. Krupa has presented and published her research findings in national and international forums including conferences and journals. Her research papers have received awards and positive feedback in national and international conferences. She has 15 years of teaching and clinical experience and had been handling classes for undergraduate and postgraduate courses since 2009. Some of the courses handled include Speech Language Diagnostics and Therapeutics, Language Disorders in Children, Augmentative and Alternative Communication, Language and Literacy Disorders and Practices in Speech Language Pathology. She is a part of SRIHER’s Newsletter – Bridges committee and its related activities such as monthly Book Review.
