Bio

Dr. Abirami Omprakash possesses over 15 years of extensive teaching and research experience, with a strong academic foundation in medical education. She has published 22 research articles in reputed national and international journals, underscoring her commitment to advancing knowledge and practice in the field. A FAIMER Fellow (PSG FRI – 2017) and a Ph.D. holder in Medical Education, she has made significant contributions to educational innovation and scholarly research. She is currently guiding an international Ph.D. scholar in Nursing Education and in the domain of air pollution and health outcomes, in addition to mentoring MD Physiology and MSc Physiology postgraduates in their research work. Through her academic and professional endeavors, Dr. Abirami Omprakash consistently promotes a holistic, evidence-based approach that advances medical education and strengthens healthcare delivery.

The effect of music therapy on physiological and Psychological parameters during endoscopy and Colonoscopy procedures: A randomized controlled trial

-evaluates the Physiological and Psychological parameters during the procedure, the methodology involves control group with normal procedure and an intervention group with music therapy during the procedure.

Dr. Abirami Omprakash holds active membership in esteemed professional organizations, reflecting her commitment to academic and professional excellence. She has been a member of the Association of Physiologists of Tamil Nadu since 2008, contributing to physiology education and research. The same year, she became a life member of the Women Doctors Association, supporting women in medicine. Since 2011, she has been a life member of the Indian Medical Association, promoting healthcare advancement.
