Bio

1. I am an academician, with 15  years of teaching and research experience in the field of pharmaceutics. aspiring to excel in the field of novel drug delivery system, especially in the area of ocular, transdermal and targeted drug delivery..
2. My doctoral research work was based on design, development and characterization of a novel ocular delivery system which had strengthened as my proficiency in this area to acquire extramural grants. in LSRB-DRDO.
3. Acquired 9 chancellors summer research project and 2 GATE projects.
4. Other areas of my interest are Targeted drug delivery, development of biomaterials (Scaffolds) , Nano technology etc.
5. Handled  various subjects in the field of pharmaceutics to students pursuing B. Pharm and M. Pharm degrees.
6. Authored and co-authored about 34 research publications in renowned and indexed journals.
7. Presented research papers at various national and international conferences and symposiums. .
8. Recognized as Guide for Ph. D program in SRIHER, currently being primary guide for 5 Ph. D students and  RAC member for 3 of the Ph. D student. 3 patents has been filed.

AWARDS RECEIVED:

1. Awarded with a cash prize of Rs 1000 /-for the poster entitled “Fabrication of vesicular drug delivery system of niosomal topical formulation for the effective treatment of osteoarthritis” in Drug ,discovery and development – 3 D’s in Pharmacy, conducted by Department of Pharmaceutics on 19^th,20 ^th September 2014 held at SRM college of Pharmacy, Kattankulathur, Chennai.
2. Recognised as “Aspiring Research Ambassador of Sri Ramachandra University” in appreciation of Promising research potential as demonstrated by quality publications and initiatives in generating research grants.
3. Awarded first prize in oral prensentation for the paper entitled “ Fabrication and characterization of drug loaded scaffolds for corneal tissue engineering” in Drug, discovery and development: A focus on newer technologies” on 7 th and 8 th Feb 2019 conducted by Department of Pharmaceutics, SRM college of pharmacy, SRMIST, kattankulathur, Chennai
4. Awarded 10 years of Continuous service in the Institution at SRIHER
5. Awarded Gift voucher of Rs 3000/-second prize in e oral presentation for the research paper entitled ” Fabrication and characterization of porous nanohydroxyapatite/chitosan-cellulose composite scaffold for biomedical application” in the International symposium on medication therapy management 2021 (ISMTM) held on 12-14 November 2021, Jointly organised by Sultan Ul Uloom college of Pharmacy & CliMed research solutions in collaboration with Indian Pharmaceutical Association, World youth heart federation-India, Association of community pharmacists of India and International Federation for Medical Therapy Management.
6. Awarded second prize in oral presentation in National conference on PHARMGREE 22 on 22/07/2022 for the research paper entitled “ Fabrication of tissue engineered cornea with collagen and PLGA drug loaded sandwich hybrid construct electrospun mat” at M.G.R.Educational and Research Institute (DU) , Chennai
