Dr Pavithra had started her career as a pathologist from the year 2012, specializing in comprehensive disease diagnosis through tissue analysis and molecular pathology. Earned her degrees MBBS & MD from our very own prestigious SRIHER University, where she developed a strong foundation in the life sciences. As a pathologist, her role involves diagnosing diseases from various tissues, including cytology, PAP smears ,clinical pathology, biopsies and surgical specimens. She works closely with physicians to ensure accurate diagnoses that directly influence patient treatment plans. Her expertise extends to various subspecialties, such as oncologic pathology, breast pathology and molecular pathology. Research has always been a cornerstone of her career. She is particularly interested in the intersection of pathology and personalized medicine, exploring how genetics can inform and improve disease diagnosis and treatment. Her research endeavors have led to 32 publications in few of the peer-reviewed journals. She had been a Co-editor & an Assistant editor for the Handbook of Pathology for
Postgraduate students – CBS Publishers – since the first edition in 2018
till 2023(ISBN: 978-93-5466-687-2 for 2023) & authored few chapters in the book “Holistic approach to Breast disease” published by Springer in the year 2023. She has actively sought opportunities to translate her research into practical applications, focusing on innovation and patenting a project which had got accepted by the Government of India (Patent No.480844).
In addition to her clinical and research responsibilities, she serves as the Vice President of the Alumni Association for this University. In this role, she work`s to foster connections among alumni, support current students, and promote mentorship opportunities and also has additional responsibilities as members in University Library committee & Internal quality assurance cell , mentor for MBBS batch students and batch incharge for second semester AHS students .She had been guide and co guide for many of the postgraduate thesis and research works and was also invited as a speaker for few of the conferences .She had also been as a organizing secretary for few of the department educational programs.

The main objective of our invention is to provide a simple low cost /free quick staining technique on frozen sections to identify the ideal level of resection and thereby improve the clinical outcomes in the patients with ureteropelvic junction obstruction. There were many recurrent cases and so we sorted out a plan to avoid these recurrences. It was in a worldwide there was no solution given for the PUJO at the time of surgery during the frozen section. We took up the regular cases which came to OPD with clinical symptoms of obstruction. There were 17 cases which we took into consideration and we simultaneously Checked back for their recurrence too fortunately none of the cases turned back with any recurrence symptoms. The intervention started in 14th March 2019
