Dr Samya Varadarajan is working as Associate Professor in the Department of Community Medicine at Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research, Chennai, India. She joined this prestigeous institute in 2015. She completed her MBBS from P.S.G Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, Coimbatore, India in 2009 and post-graduation MD Community Medicine from Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research, Chennai in 2013. She has experience in working in Post graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh in WHO funded research projects.
She is currently involved in community based research projects on health and wellbeing of under 5 children and diabetic patients in rural areas and has 10 publications. She is actively involved in teaching under graduate and postgraduate students on various critical topics on public health and preventive medicine. She has additionally worked as medical officer in-charge in rural and urban health and training centres where she has organized health education programs and medical camps.
