Bio

Dr. S. Lalitha, M.Sc., Ph.D., currently working as an Assistant Professor at Sri Ramachandra Medical College and Research Institute, Chennai. I completed my B.Sc (AHS) from Sri Ramachandra University in 2010, followed by M.Sc in Medical Physiology from SRM University in 2013, and am in the final stages of completing my Ph.D. at Sri Ramachandra University. I have over a decade of experience in teaching and research, having served as a Tutor and Junior Research Fellow prior to my current role. I have attended various training programs including workshops on simulation, mentoring, biomedical research, and handling laboratory animals. I am certified in Basic Life Support and have completed courses on research ethics, online learning, and publication processes. My research focuses on the biomedical applications of Cayratia auriculata, particularly its anticancer, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and neuroprotective properties, which have been published in peer-reviewed journals indexed in Scopus and PubMed. I have also presented my work at national and international conferences, receiving recognition such as the GATE Young Faculty Research Grant and the Young Scientist Travel Award. Additionally, I have served as an external examiner and resource person for undergraduate conferences. My research interests extend to heart rate variability, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and neurodegenerative models. I am proficient in English, Tamil, and Telugu, and committed to advancing medical research and education through innovative teaching methods and ethical research practices. With extensive experience in workshops, online courses, and collaborative research, I continually strive to integrate scientific rigor with practical applications. I aim to contribute to the academic and clinical community by mentoring students and promoting interdisciplinary research initiatives that enhance patient care and biomedical knowledge.
