Prithviraj Premkumar is currently working as an Assistant Professor and Consultant in the department of Surgical Oncology , SRIHER.
He graduated his MBBS from Pondicherry University in 2010 and MS General Surgery from the erstwhile Annamalai university in 2014. During his training period there he was exposed to various surgical specialties and had keen interest in oncology.
He went on to train in surgical oncology from the prestigious Madras medical college from 2014-2016. He has special interest in Breast and Gynaec malignancies and has been part of some advanced head and neck surgeries with reconstruction.
he has been working in SRIHER since 2017 and has been active part of clinical researches and various academic activities in the department.
He is responsible for initiating and is currently heading an integrative holistic and preventive oncology program for rehabilitation and emotional well being of all cancer patients at the hospital. This is a unique initiative amongst the hospitals in the city.
