Current roles and responsibilities:  

 Diagnosis and management of pediatric patients with neurological disorders in the Outpatient department (OPD). Management of patients with a variety of neurological disorders including developmental delays, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, headaches, neuromuscular disorders, neurodegenerative disorders, neuro-metabolic disorders, neuro-behavioral disorders which include autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, psychologic disorders, neuropsychiatric conditions and others.

 Diagnosis and management of pediatric patients presenting with neurological emergencies in the Emergency Department. Presentations include seizures, status epilepticus, neuroinfections, acute encephalopathy, raised intracranial tension, stroke, acute onset flaccid weakness (including Guillain-Barre Syndrome) and others.

 Management of patients admitted to Neurology wards and intensive care units (PICU and NICU).

 Management of pediatric patients in Neurology subspeciality clinics namely Neurocysticercosis clinic, Genetics clinic, Neurodevelopmental clinic, Neuromuscular disorders clinic, Pain Clinic and Autism Clinic.

 Performing procedures and tests in pediatric neurological patients including lumbar puncture, CSF manometry, shunt taps, cranial USG, muscle biopsy, nerve biopsy, neostigmine challenge test, forearm ischemic stress test, dynamometry and others. Experience of performing over 250 muscle and nerve biopsies.

 Routinely performing ancillary investigations like EEG, Polysomnography, Nerve conduction study, Electromyography, Otoacoustic emissions and others. Experience of having reported around 3000 EEGs and 500 NCSs & EMGs.

 Academic and teaching activities involving post graduates and nursing staff.
