The idea behind this study, is to collect the gypsum waste segregate the gypsum waste from the regular biomedical waste of the college. Following segregation of the gypsum, the total weight of the waste collected at every department and cumulative waste should be calculated. Once the sample collected, it should be disinfected by a suitable method and sent to lab for processing. The waste which reaches the lab will undergo cycles of recycling and final recycled gypsum powder should be collected. A sample of recycled gypsum product used should be evaluated on its physical and chemical properties such as particle size distribution, bulk unit weight; specific gravity; specific surface area; free water, water crystallization, calcium oxide, sulfuric anhydride. Alongside, following the technical recycling of the gypsum product, the recycled gypsum product should also be evaluated on its properties and remixed to prepare casts and the detailing of the recycled product shall be carried out. It can also be used for various other commercial purposes like construction, plumbing work and house hold work.
