Bio

Dr. Harsha Vardhan Mahalingam MBBS MD DNB PDF is an experienced radiologist specializing in performing and interpreting advanced CT and MRI. He specializes in musculoskeletal imaging, cardiovascular imaging and oncoradiology including PET-CT.

He did his undergraduation from MMC, Chennai where he was a multiple time gold medallist and won the prestigious Johnstone gold medal for best overall student in the MBBS course. He secured all India 1st rank and did his post graduation in radiology the prestigious PGIMER, Chandigarh. He obtained his fellowship in advanced cross section imaging in Christian Medical College, Vellore.

Has been invited to multiple conferences across the country to deliver lectures. He is a acclaimed researcher with more than 20 publications in peer reviewed indexed journals including high impact journals such as Radiographics, Neurology and IJRI. He is a resource person for application of VR technology using radiology. He is also a guide for radiology post graduate students, Msc and M.Tech students involved in interdisciplinary research.

Accuracy of ring-in-ring appearance in predicting benign lesions using diffusion weighted brain MRI

Diffusion weighted imaging often shows a pattern of peripheral diffusion restriction in tumors. However, some benign lesions can also mimic this pattern. This study evaluates the relative position of diffusion restriction and enhancement on MRI scans
