Bio

Loganathan S MOT (Advanced OT in Neurology) An academician and an active clinician since 2005.
Have handled various courses such as Physiotherapy in Orthopaedic conditions, Sports physiotherapy, Hand Rehabilitation, Exercise therapy, Biomechanics, Pursued specialisation in Physiotherapy with specific interest in Manual therapy approaches to Orthopaedic conditions & Sports Injuries, Kinesiology & Biomechanics for Sports Physiotherapists, Advanced Sports Physiotherapy Practice. Trained in Hand Rehabilitation as well. In due course has completed a Certification in Orthopaedic Manual Therapy. Was trained in the Mulligan concept of Manual therapy and attained the accreditation of an internationally Accredited Mulligan Concept Instructor through the membership of the Mulligan Concept Teachers Association through an intricate evaluation process in 2014. Is conducting accredited workshops and examinations of the same on Mulligan Concept of Manual therapy within India (more than 40) and few other countries of the Asian continent like UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Indonesia, Malaysia, Bangladesh(more than 8). Has also continued attaining skills in advanced treatment techniques such as Fascial manipulation and Visceral manipulation. Has been Resource person to various conferences and guest lecturer to various institutions. Has been examiner to examinations at various universities in the country. The PHD work was in the ‘Normative values of the Finger flexion Cascade in Power Grip users and Non power grip users’, an unique territory where not many have ventured. Has also interest in innovations. Is currently guiding post graduates in projects involving integration of technology in rehabilitation and looking forward to patenting the same. This is beyond the various research projects being conducted in the Faculty. Many of the previous students are working with major sports teams in the country and other existing physiotherapists also obtain training in Mulligan concept of Manual therapy from Prof. Jibu George Varghese.
