Dr. H.Balaji Raghavednran has completed her Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Madras University. He has a strong research experience in Biomaterials and Regenerative medicine for Orthopaedic applications with in-vitro and Pre-clinical in-vivo models of critical size bone defect, wound healing, Cartilage repair. His current research focus is on developing novel bio-scaffolds using Electrospinning and 3D priniting for orthopaedic and wound application. He has published more than 80 articles in peer reviewed journals.He has published 35 articles related to biomaterials and bone, cartilage applications. 2 Patents under process and have overseas experience for 10 years of research in Department of Orthopaedic surgery,University Malaya, KL. In his research carrier he has developed hydrogel tested in vitro, in vivo preclinical animal model and recently approved for Phase I clinical trial using GMP certified bio-scaffold in Malaysia. In University of Malaya he completed 16 grants until 2019 and Joined SRIHER India by 2021-2024 as Associate Professor, Biomaterials Laboratory, SRIHER. Currently Professor, Biomaterials Laboratory, SRIHER handling two funded projects from ICMR, India and DST-SERB, India. Expertise in materials characterization usingvarious techniques such as and FTIR, EDX, FESEM, BET, SBF.
