Bio

Dr G Felsy Premila, has completed her professional education in Dentistry at Vinayaka Missions Dental College, Masters in Hospital Management and pursuing PhD in public health at Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education & Research. In addition, she has completed various certified courses in technical and scientific writing, epidemiology, clinical research, and clinical informatics. She holds a position of an investigator and co-investigator in funded research projects under SPARC collaborating with University of Western Australia, GATE Grant, ISPPD Research Grant and Centre for Evidence for Guidelines and Guidance from DHR. Adding to her credit, she has scientific articles published in national and international journals and authored book chapters. Her current research focus is on nutrition and vitamin deficiency affecting oral health, caries risk and prevention of dental caries, maternal and child health.

Eye-tracking technology: applications and the power of eye movement in dental research

This project is a collaborative study with the investigators from Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research, Chennai, India and The University of Western Australia, Perth. The study was funded by The Scheme for Promotion of Academic and Research Collaboration (SPARC), an initiative of Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India for an amount of 47 lakhs for the period between 2019 and 2023.

Comparative evaluation of overall caries risk and mode of birth delivery in infants and pre-schoolers

Received SRIHER GATE Grant for this research project for an amount of 1L.

Knowledge, Attitude and Practice Regarding Caries Risk Assessment (CRA) among Dental Students – A Multi-centric Study

Received funding for this project from Indian Society of Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry for the period between 2022 and 2023.

This DHR project was sanctioned in Oct 2024 for an amount of 16.45 L is granted every year for a period of 3 years.
