Bio

Dr. Rithvik Ramesh,  completed his MBBS, MD in Internal Medicine, and DM in Neurology at the prestigious Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research. Over the course of his academic journey, he has earned numerous accolades, including the M. G. Ramachandran Gold Medal for his excellence in Neurology and a University Gold Medal in Internal Medicine.

His clinical expertise is complemented by a robust research portfolio, with his work being published in esteemed journals such as Neurology, BMJ Case Reports, Annals of Indian Academy of Neurology and Neurovirology. His research interests include neuro-inflammation, neuro-degeneration and neuro-infection, and he is also actively involved in ongoing projects on stroke, dementia  and Parkinsonism in the Indian population. He is an Associate Editor of the “Journal of Stroke Medicine”, and also manages a neurology educational instablog “Neurogyan“.

In addition to his clinical practice as an Associate Professor and Associate Consultant at Sri Ramachandra Institute, Dr. Ramesh is committed to advancing the field of neurology through his teaching and mentorship of residents and students. His professional memberships include the Indian Academy of Neurology (IAN), the American Academy of Neurology (AAN), and Indian stroke association. Beyond his professional life, Dr. Ramesh is an avid travel and sports enthusiast, having won multiple awards in table tennis and cricket. He is also passionate about painting and writing.
