Bio

Dr Lakshmi JS, an academician and an active clinician since 2021. She graduated her MBBS training from Chettinad university in 2014 and completed her Post Graduate Medical Education (Master’s degree in Radiation Oncology) from Amrita Institute of medical sciences, Amrita University, kochi in 2020. During her MD training period she was adequatly trained in all External Beam Radiation Techniques such as 3D/4D Planning and contouring – 3DCRT, IMRT, IGRT, VMAT, SRS, SRT, Whole body Radiotherapy, Image guided brachytherapy, CT, MRI, PET-CT, PET-MRI based treatment planning.  She underwent clinical observership at Regional Cancer Center, Trivandrum (2020). Subsequently she underwent Senior Residency in Dept of Radiation oncology at Government medical college, Kottayam from 2020 to 2021 and joined the SRIHER family in 2021. She is a good and friendly teacher and have attended various conferences and academic forums till date.

  • National conference AROICON 2019 received first prize in poster presentation. Postmastectomy chestwall irradiation with electron beam technique – Analysis of outcome.
  • National meet RADONC CONCAVE 2021 received second prize in oral presentation. Helical Tomotherapy for Prostate cancer radiation therapy: Early toxicity and Quality of Life.
