Dr. Rajalakshmi Vel has over 20 years of teaching experience in leading institutions of Ahmedabad and Chennai at the graduate and post graduate level. She is a Post-Graduate & M.Phil in Commerce and has completed her Doctorate in Management (Finance specialization) from KSVV (Kadi Sarva Vishwa Vidyalaya), Ahmedabad, Gujarat. She was associated with Jain University, Bangalore & Institute of Management, Nirma University as a faculty for the courses Financial Modelling & Portfolio Management. She has jointly conducted training programs on Accounting for Sales Tax Officers’ Ahmedabad. She has completed Teachers Training Program conducted by Intel Computers and Academia acclaimed Faculty Training Program at ICFAI, Hyderabad. She has designed certification programs in cross-functional areas of FinTech and Financial Modelling for Business Valuation. She serves as an external expert of the Research Advisory Committee at two institutions. A guide by the side, she is a mentor and business analyst for the start-up ‘Setty Picks’, an investment advisory firm. She has served as a Chair for National Conferences and delivered guest talks at Saveetha School of Engineering, Law. On a freewheel conversation, she talks about financial forecasting, financial management, risk management in seminars/webinars. Personal interests include creative writing, reading, market watch, IPO analysis. At SRFMS, she is an Assistant Professor and teaches Accounting and Finance courses. She believes Finance is an essential life skill to be imbibed by all students irrespective of their domain.
