Bio

Ms. Nandita Krishnan is a Passionate Lecturer (NET-UGC Qualified) and Part Time Research Scholar from the Department of Clinical Nutrition, Faculty of Allied Health Sciences at Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research with good communication skills and problem solving ability.She is also a Certified Diabetes Educator, PCOS Nutrition, Lactation Nutrition and Sports Nutrition Expert. With a passion for cultivating healthy eating habits, she follows a holistic approach towards proper lifestyle and dietary habits. She is well-versed in Nutrition Counseling, Nutrition Education and Nutrition Care Process. She has also completed eight levels of hindi course offered by Dakshin Bharat Hindi Prachar Sabha.

Teaching Ability: Enjoys teaching, engages with students and makes the teaching learning process effective. Motivates students to develops their passion towards learning everyday.

Clinical Expertise: Dedicated to Bed Side Teachings, Counsels and Educates Patients, Supervises students and interns.

Outreach Activities: Active involvement in educating the community on Nutrition and Wellness. Research Skills: Passionate towards contributing to understand hypothetical situations, collect data and analyze the results.

Professional Engagement: Active Participation in Conferences and Continuing Nutrition Educations (CNE) related to Nutrition and Collaborates with other departments & professionals to conduct activities related to Nutrition. Leadership Skills: Ability to lead professional initiatives, research projects, or courses of study that has been demonstrated.

On-going: Received Gate Project funding of Rs. 1,00,000 for the project titled “Development and Supplementation of a Resistant Starch Based Product to improve the Gut microbiome composition of women with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS)”  for the year 2023-2024

Awards & Recognitions

Second Prize for Oral Paper Presentation

Participated and was awarded second prize in oral presentation of the paper titled “Evaluation
of Sleep Disturbances in women with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome” in the international
conference on Innovative Approaches in Life Sciences organized by the Department of
Food Science and Nutrition held at the American College, Madurai on 24.03.2023 and
25.03.2023.
