Dr. Harini Vasudevan is currently working as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Audiology in the Faculty of Audiology & Speech Language Pathology at Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education & Research (SRIHER-Deemed University), Chennai, India. She is a qualified clinical educator and mentor in the department. Dr. Harini Vasudevan is a registered Audiologist and Speech Language Pathologist under the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) (A60705) and a lifetime member of the Indian Speech, Language and Hearing Association (ISHA) (L18093237). She was the Best Outgoing Student in her bachelor’s (BASLP) and master’s (MASLP) degrees that she completed from Manipal College of Health Professions (MCHP), Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), India. She received her Ph.D. in Audiology from the Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Manipal, India. She has received the prestigious INSPIRE Fellowship for pursuing her Ph.D. from the Department of Science and Technology (DST), India. She is actively involved in teaching both undergraduate and Postgraduate students, Diagnosis and rehabilitation of individuals’ audiological and communication disorders, and research.
Her areas of expertise are Diagnostic audiology, Tinnitus, Electrophysiology, aural rehabilitation, and Cognitive Neurosciences. Her current research interests include Tinnitus, Aural rehabilitation for adults, and PCOD. Her research experiences stem from her involvement as the president of the Student Research Forum (SRF) in Manipal Academy of Higher Education for 2 years. This involved organizing and delivering research-related talks and events to inculcate research interest and to promote multidisciplinary research. She also served as a Campus Ambassador Coordinator at Manipal for coordinating student externships. Further, she has successfully applied for research grants from Reputed agencies like ICMR and DST. She is currently involved in collaborative research with the Manipal Academy of Higher Education for an internet-based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy( iCBT) for individuals with Tinnitus.
