Mrs. Karthika Devi Mariappan has served the Nursing Profession for the last 20 years. She completed her B.Sc in Nursing at PSG College of Nursing, Coimbatore in the year 2002. She did her Diploma in Nursing Administration at the Indian Institute of Management and Technology. She completed her M.Sc in Psychology at the University of Madras in Chennai(2005) and her M.Sc Nursing specializing in Pediatric Nursing at Apollo College of Nursing in 2008. She was awarded a Gold Medal for being the best outgoing graduate. Currently she is pursuing her Ph.D in Nursing at Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research
Her career starts as a staff nurse at Cardiac ICU at Wockhardt Hospital and Heart Institute Bangalore,India. Joined Manipal College of Nursing as a Lecturer and then moved to Nirwana Educational Group(Windfield International College and IUCAS) – Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. She also worked In Pusat Jagaan Orang Tua KJG Fisioterapi, Malaysia as a Nurse Manager. She has played different roles in nursing asa Staff Nurse, Nurse Manager Senior Lecturer, and Academic Coordinator.
She’s an excellent panel for research presentations, organizing events and celebrations,
extracurricular activities for students, and academic activities. She was a member of the Graduation Committee and Curriculum Committee at Windfield International College, Malaysia. She has done many scientific paper presentations at conferences, workshops, and seminars and won awards.
She has published her research work Experimental Study to Assess the Effectiveness of Transdermal Anaesthetic Cream on Children and is in the process of publishing her other research works.
She was awarded the best NSS Volunteer, won awards for her presentations and also Outstanding
Teacher Award by Oxford AQA (UK) for the year 2021
