Dr. Jaikanth earned his Ph.D. in 2018 from the School of Medical Sciences, JIPMER (Pondicherry University – Central University) under the CSIR-SRF fellowship. He also qualified GPAT twice and secured the first rank in the All India entrance exam conducted by Pondicherry University for the Doctoral program in Pharmacology.
In 2018, he joined as an Associate Professor at PSG College of Pharmacy and established a cancer stem cell laboratory funded by DST-FIST. In 2021, he joined SPTM, NMIMS University (NIRF 11) and served for two years.
On October 8, 2022, he joined Sri Ramachandra Faculty of Pharmacy, SRIHER (DU) as an Associate Professor. After joining here, he has established a Cell Culture Lab and is in the process of setting up a Molecular Pharmacology Lab.

This project aims to identify and exploit off-target mechanisms in the treatment of Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC). Given the aggressive nature and limited treatment options for TNBC, there is a critical need for personalized therapeutic strategies. This study focuses on identifying novel biomarkers and developing combination treatments that can enhance therapeutic efficacy and reduce adverse effects.
