Myself Ms. HEMALATHA S With a strong foundation in diagnostic imaging and a passion for teaching, excited to contribute to the academic and clinical excellence for the institution. I completed my undergraduate(B.Sc., Radiology and Imaging Sciences Technology) and post graduate in (M.Sc .,Medical Imaging Technology) at SRIHER, where I developed a keen interest in radiology. In my new role at SRIHER,will be involved in teaching radiology to Allied health science students B.Sc., (3years course+1year internship &M.Sc MRIT 5years integerated) focusing on [specific areas of interest, e.g., X ray ,CT ,USG and MRI ,advanced imaging techniques, diagnostic accuracy, patient-centered care]. My approach to teaching emphasizes both theoretical knowledge and practical skills, aiming to prepare students for the dynamic field of radiology.
STANDARDIZATION OF PSOAS MUSCLE MEASUREMENTS ON CT ABDOMEN
Acts as a screening tool in prediction and management of sarcopenic
patients. It acts as a frailty assessment tool in predicting early morbidity, mortality
and late survival after the treatment for aortic stenosis. Area assessment plays an important role preventing psoas muscle loss of hepatocellular carcinoma patients treated with sorafenibEvaluation of disease progression in patients with gastric carcinoma.
Arterial spin labelling does not require administration of Gadolinium Based Contrast Agents. Instead water protons in the arterial blood acts as intrinsic source of contrast. Dueto this advantage ASL plays a significant role in neurooncology, particularly in post therapy surveillance imaging and in patients who are unable to undergo intravenous Gadolinium based contrast administration. Hemodynamic measurements of cerebral tumors assessed by Dynamic susceptibility contrast perfusion (DSC) and arterial spin labelling (ASL) in this prospective study yielded similar results and therefore ASL can be employed in characterizing brain tumors
SIR is a professional organization dedicated to advancing the field of radiography and imaging sciences in india. mission is to support radiographers through professional development advocacy and community building, ensuring the highest standards of practise and patient care in the imaging field.
ISRT connects the innovations in Radiological technology and Medical devices industry with day to day practise of clinical medicine through constant updates to the professionals in a fruitful manner.Stands for the comprehensive professional development of radiographers and radiological technologists through continuing educatopn and training and making the startegic ways for the capacity of practicing professionals.
