Dr. J. Jino Blessy is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Bioinformatics at the Sri Ramachandra Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research (SRIHER), Porur, Chennai. She completed her B.Sc. in Bioinformatics from Noorul Islam College of Arts and Science, Kumaracoil, Kanyakumari, followed by an M.Sc. in Bioinformatics from CMS College of Science and Commerce, Coimbatore. During her M.Sc. final year project, she was awarded a student fellowship by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT) and conducted research at the Bioinformatics Center, Indian Institute of Spices Research, Calicut, Kerala. She then served as a Junior Research Fellow, funded by the Science and Engineering Research Board – Department of Science and Technology (SERB DST), at the Department of Bioinformatics, Karunya University, Coimbatore, where she later earned her Ph.D. with a thesis entitled ‘Molecular Modelling of N-acetylneuraminic acid analogues and their interaction with microbial toxins.’ Following her doctoral studies, Dr. Jino Blessy worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Department of Biotechnology, Indian Institute of Technology Madras, focusing on thermodynamic databases and molecular dynamics simulation of protein-carbohydrate interactions, contributing valuable insights into biomolecular interactions and computational modelling in bioinformatics.
Completed B.Sc. in Bioinformatics at Noorul Islam College of Arts and Science, Kumaracoil, Kanyakumari.
Pursued M.Sc. in Bioinformatics at CMS College of Science and Commerce, Coimbatore.
