Bio

I completed my B . Sc in Bioinformatics at Noorul Islam College of Arts and Science, Kumaracoil , Kanyakumari, followed by an M.Sc in Bioinformatics at CMS College of Science and Commerce, Coimbatore. For my M . Sc final year project , I was awarded a student fellowship by the Department of Biotechnology DBT and conducted research at the Bioinformatics Center , Indian Institute of Spices Research , Calicut , Kerala .

I then joined as a Junior Research Fellow, funded by the Science and Engineering Research Board-Department of Science and Technology SERB DST , at the Department of Bioinformatics, Karunya University, Coimbatore. Subsequently , I earned my PhD for my thesis entitled ‘Molecular Modelling of N – acetylneuraminic acid analogues and their interaction with microbial toxins’ from Karunya University .

Following my PhD , I gained valuable experience as a Postdoctoral Research Associate , focusing on thermodynamic databases and molecular dynamics simulation for protein – carbohydrate interaction , at the Department of Biotechnology , Indian Institute of Technology Madras .

Currently, I serve as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Bioinformatics, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research, Porur, Chennai. My current research interests include protein-carbohydrate interaction, next-generation sequencing, network analysis, and molecular dynamics simulations.
