Velumani M received his B.E. degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Anna University, Chennai, India in 2012. He received his M. Tech degree in Sensor Technology from Vellore Institute of Technology, India in 2014. He received his Ph.D. degree in the School of Electronics Engineering from VIT University, Vellore, India in 2022. He was awarded a Senior Research Fellowship from CSIR for the period of 3 years from May 2018-2021 during his Ph.D. Also, he has been chosen as a visiting researcher at the University of Texas in Dallas, USA, during his Ph.D. under the MHRD-SPARC project. He is currently an assistant professor in the Faculty of Engineering and Technology in Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research, Chennai, India. He has worked on sponsored projects funded by MHRD-SPARC, IGCAR, and DST-FIST. His research interest includes chemiresistive gas sensors for environmental monitoring applications, Breath based Biosensors for noninvasive disease diagnostics, and Growth and fabrication of surface-modified sensors using Vacuum deposition techniques.
