Lydia Evelyn Felix completed her school education at Sunbeam Senior Secondary School, obtaining her High School Certificate in 2013 and her Higher Secondary Certificate in 2015, under the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). She pursued her undergraduate professional education in nursing at the College of Nursing, Christian Medical College (CMC), Vellore, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.Sc Nursing) in 2019, affiliated with Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai. Continuing her academic journey, she completed her Master of Science in Nursing (M.Sc Nursing) with a specialization in Community Health Nursing from the same institution in 2024, under the same university.
Lydia Evelyn Felix’s research interests are rooted in community-based health interventions and nursing education, with a strong emphasis on public health practice and supporting vulnerable populations. She has conducted research on women’s mental health, particularly focusing on the coping mechanisms of widows in rural India, implementing structured interventions that incorporate skill-building, psychosocial support, and health education. Passionate about faith-based community empowerment, Lydia integrates spiritual care and leadership into health promotion activities. She is deeply involved in the design, implementation, and evaluation of health education programs tailored to underserved communities. Her broader public health nursing practice includes community outreach, school health initiatives, epidemiological studies, and active participation in health awareness campaigns targeting tribal and underserved populations. Additionally, Lydia is committed to nursing education and curriculum development, with experience in mentoring nursing students, preparing lesson plans, conducting OSCEs, and leading hands-on clinical and community training sessions.

In addition, she was the winner of various sports activities such as throwball, badminton and tennykoit and secured prizes in the Choreography Competitions. She also received the third prize in the CSI Synod Essay Competition, reflecting her strong writing and critical thinking skills. Further, she was awarded the first prize for composing the “Nurses Anthem” in the TNAI Vellore Chapter, celebrating her contribution to the nursing profession through music and creative expression. These recognitions reflect Lydia’s multifaceted talents and her commitment to academic, artistic, and professional excellence.
Lydia Evelyn Felix is an active member of key nursing and healthcare associations. She is a proud member of the Trained Nurses’ Association of India (TNAI) and the Christian Medical Association of India (CMAI), engaging in ongoing professional development and networking. She is also registered with the Tamil Nadu Nurses and Midwives Council (TNNMC) as a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife under registration number 221363, initially registered on 29th January 2020 and renewed in 2025. Her continued affiliations demonstrate a strong commitment to maintaining professional standards, ethical practice, and lifelong learning in the field of nursing.
