Bio

Ms. Akshaya Thulasi Sathyanarayana is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mind Body Medicine and Lifestyle Sciences at SRIHER. She holds a Master’s degree in Mind-Body and Lifestyle Science, Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy and is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Behavioural Science at SRIHER. With a background in psychology and Mind Body Medicine, she integrates evidence-based approaches with holistic wellness practices in her academic and clinical work.

She has presented at several national and international conferences on topics such as communication, interpersonal dynamics, organizational development, behavioral change, stress, sleep, addiction, motivational interviewing in forensic settings, and digital dependency among youth. Her research interests span behavioural health, mind-body interventions, lifestyle medicine, and the application of coaching psychology in chronic disease management. Ms. Akshaya is also a practicing psychotherapist and health and wellness coach with a focus on client-centred, interdisciplinary care.

She currently also a Research Assistant in a SPARC-funded project and has co-authored publications in peer-reviewed journals. Her commitment to student mentoring, innovative teaching, and translational research reflects her passion for advancing integrative approaches in health and behavioural sciences.
