Dr. Jothi M. is a Professor at the Sri Ramachandra Faculty of Management Sciences, serving since June 2025. He holds a First Class Master’s Degree in Commerce from the University of Madras, an MBA from Alagappa University, and a Ph.D. in Commerce from Alagappa University, Karaikudi, India.
With over two decades of experience in academia, research, and industry, Dr. Jothi is recognized as an international faculty member. His teaching portfolio spans across reputed institutions, including five years at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Bengaluru; three years at Ambo University, Ethiopia; and eleven years at SRM University, Chennai.
Dr. Jothi specializes in finance-related courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. His academic expertise includes Behavioral Finance, Financial Securities and Derivatives, Strategic Financial Management, International Finance, Sustainability, and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG).
An accomplished researcher, Dr. Jothi has presented over 50 research papers at national and international conferences, including those hosted by premier institutions such as the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) and various foreign and Indian universities. He has published more than 40 scholarly articles in reputed journals and magazines indexed in Google Scholar, Scopus, Web of Science, PubMed, and ABDC. Additionally, he has authored one book and edited two others.
Dr. Jothi has successfully guided numerous Master’s and Ph.D. scholars and serves as an examiner for doctoral theses for universities in India and abroad. In recognition of his contributions to research and academic mentoring, he was honored with the Research Mentoring Award 2024 by CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Bengaluru, during the Teachers’ Day celebrations held on September 5, 2024.
