Unpacking the Impact of Rote Learning and Exam-Centric Culture on Health Professional Educational Outcomes: A Comprehensive Study in the Indian Context."
This research aims to investigate the widespread prevalence of rote learning and the dominance of an exam-centric culture within the Indian education system. The study will explore the implications of these practices on students’ academic performance, critical thinking abilities, and overall learning experience. By employing a mixed-methods approach, combining surveys, interviews, and academic performance analysis, the research seeks to identify the factors contributing to the persistence of rote learning and exam-centricity. Furthermore, it aims to explore potential alternatives and reforms that could promote a more holistic and effective learning environment in India. The findings of this research may provide valuable insights for educational policymakers, institutions, and educators striving to enhance the quality and relevance of education in the Indian context.

: Exploring Inclusive Health Profession Education for Disabled Students in India: Challenges, Opportunities, and Best Practices
The proposed research aims to investigate the challenges, opportunities, and best practices in inclusive
health profession education for disabled students in India. With a focus on addressing systemic
obstacles, attitudinal biases, and inadequate support services, the research seeks to assess the barriers
faced by disabled students in accessing and succeeding in health profession education programs. By
exploring strategies for inclusive education and identifying best practices, the project aims to contribute
to the advancement of educational equity and the creation of an inclusive learning environment. Through
a cross-sectional qualitative study employing a case study approach, the research will involve purposive
sampling of health professional institutions across diverse regions of India. Data collection will include
semi-structured interviews and guided reflective essays with disabled students, followed by rigorous
data analysis to identify key challenges and propose strategies for optimizing inclusive health profession
education. The outcomes of this research have the potential to fill an important gap in the literature,
provide valuable insights for policymakers and educators, and ultimately contribute to the development of a more inclusive and equitable education landscape in India and beyond.
“Predictive model for dental and systemic health, multimodal relationships and developing an integrated treatment model
Dental health has a bidirectional association with systemic health and the association of dental diseases with systemic diseases is suggested in recent years and approved by World Health Organization (WHO) in 2021. Dental diseases influence the initiation and progression of various systemic illnesses like diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, cognitive impairment, and adverse pregnancy outcomes; contrarily, systemic diseases can increase the predisposition of dental diseases. Even though, significant efforts are taken by the government of India and health care organizations to educate the citizens on disease prevention and health promotion, these efforts have fallen short due to lack of evidence on addressing the association between diseases and comorbidity burden. Knowledge of the oral-systemic health link among patients can have a dramatic impact on access to oral care.
This study aims to explore the extent of association of dental diseases with systemic diseases in Indian population using an artificial intelligence support and developing a multidisciplinary treatment protocol to improve their quality of life.
Integrating Spiritual Care into Health Professional Education: Nurturing Holistic Healers for a Sustainable Future
Spirituality significantly influences health behaviors and outcomes. Scientific evidence shows that spiritual care can improve patient outcomes, reduce anxiety, and enhance quality of life. Despite this, medical training often lacks structured spiritual care education. By incorporating spiritual care, we can prepare healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive, culturally sensitive care, aligned with holistic healing traditions. This integration fosters empathy and compassion, essential for a sustainable healthcare system, and ensures practitioners are equipped to meet diverse patient needs.
This study aims to integrate spiritual care into medical education in India to develop holistic healthcare practitioners capable of addressing the spiritual, emotional, and physical needs of patients.
Creating Inclusive Assessment Strategies in Dental Education Using Universal Design for Learning (UDL)
Traditional assessment methods in health professional education often fail to accommodate diverse learning styles. Universal Design for Learning (UDL) offers an inclusive framework aimed at enhancing educational environments. This study evaluated UDL-based assessment strategies to improve inclusivity and fairness.
The study aimed to develop and evaluate inclusive assessment strategies based on UDL principles in dental education. The specific objectives were to identify best practices for UDL implementation in assessments, assess the impact on student performance and satisfaction, and provide recommendations for integrating UDL into assessment frameworks.
