Inauguration of GE Revolution Apex Elite 512-Slice Spectral CT

Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research, through its Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences, marked a significant milestone with the inauguration of the GE Revolution Apex Elite 512-slice Spectral CT, a state-of-the-art imaging system and the first installation of its kind in India.

This advanced technology represents a major step forward in precision diagnostics, academic excellence, and patient-centric healthcare innovation, further strengthening the institution’s commitment to delivering cutting-edge medical care and research.

The inauguration ceremony was held on 22 January 2026 in the presence of Honourable Chancellor Thiru V. R. Venkataachalam, Pro-Chancellor Thiru R. V. Sengutuvan, and Trustee Samyuktha Venkatachalam.

The event was graced by Dr. Swaminathan, Former Director of BIR and Madras Medical College, Chennai, who attended as the Chief Guest.

The installation of this advanced 512-slice Spectral CT system marks a new era in high-resolution imaging and advanced diagnostic capabilities, benefiting both patients and medical education at SRIHER.
