The Department of Physiotherapy at Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre (SRMC), Chennai, inaugurated its dedicated Pelvic Health Clinic on 25th June 2026. The clinic is a specialised physiotherapy service committed to the assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of individuals experiencing pelvic floor dysfunction..The clinic was formally inaugurated by Mrs. Samyukta Venkatachalam, Trustee, SRIHER, and Dr. Sonali Santhanam, Founder, Birth Basix, Chennai on 25/6/2026. The ceremony was held in the august presence of the Vice Chancellor, Pro Vice Chancellor, Principal, Faculty of Physiotherapy, along with senior faculty members from the Departments of Urology and Obstetrics & Gynaecology, healthcare professionals, faculty members, students, and invited guests.The Pelvic Health Clinic has been established to provide comprehensive evaluation and individualised management for individuals experiencing pelvic floor dysfunction. The clinic is staffed by trained pelvic health physiotherapists who combine clinical expertise with a compassionate, patient-first philosophy of care.
The clinic has been set up with the following core objectives:
