Report on School Health Programme at Adidravidar Higher Secondary School, Kolappancherri

A School Health Programme was organized on 01.07.2026 at Adidravidar Higher Secondary School, Kolappancherri by the Departments of Community Medicine and Community Health Nursing in collaboration with the Rural Health and Training Centre, Vayalanallur. The programme involved a multidisciplinary team comprising specialists from Pediatrics, Ophthalmology, Community Medicine, Nursing, Speech and Hearing, Dental, Occupational Therapy, and Clinical Psychology. Comprehensive health screening and necessary treatment were provided to address common health problems among school children.


All doctors, supporting staff, and students actively participated in the programme, ensuring effective delivery of services. A total of 73 school children benefited from this initiative and 26 student were referred to SRMC/RHTC. The programme successfully enhanced awareness about health issues, facilitated early detection of conditions, and promoted the overall well-being of the students.
