RADIATION BIOLOGY LAB-
Our lab deals with various aspects of radiation biology which includes radiation biodosimetry, biological impacts of low dose radiation and non- targeted effects and high LET in clinical radiation therapy, adopting cytogenetic and molecular markers using in-vitro (cell lines) and in-vivo (human participants) models. We also actively participate in inter-laboratory comparisons and triage with collaborating institutions (BARC, Mumbai, IGCAR, Kalpakkam, INMAS, New Delhi, RENEB, Europe and Columbia University, USA) for improving the rising demands that can occur during radiation fallout.
The lab was formerly the only non-DAE laboratory in India that was accredited by AERB and now it is accredited by NABL.
