The research focus of our lab centres around studying the bioavailability enhancement of poorly water-soluble drugs and the formulation development of novel drug delivery systems.
We are currently focussing on the formulation development of novel drug delivery systems such as:
- Targeted Drug Delivery System (TDDS), including:
- Stimuli-sensitive drug delivery systems
- Liposomes
- Niosomes
- Nanoparticles
- Microbeads
- Nanocochleates
- Dendrimers
- Nanocomposites using biopolymers and carbon nanotubes for drug delivery
- Nerve regeneration through nerve conduit systems
- Wound healing, especially for diabetic mellitus-related conditions
