Dr. Jaikanth

Dr. Jaikanth earned his Ph.D. in 2018 from the School of Medical Sciences, JIPMER (Pondicherry University – Central University) under the CSIR-SRF fellowship.
He also qualified GPAT twice and secured the first rank in the All India entrance exam conducted by Pondicherry University for the Doctoral program in Pharmacology.

In 2018, he joined as an Associate Professor at PSG College of Pharmacy and established a Cancer Stem Cell Laboratory funded by DST-FIST.
In 2021, he joined SPTM, NMIMS University (NIRF 11), where he served for two years.

On October 8, 2022, he joined Sri Ramachandra Faculty of Pharmacy, SRIHER (DU) as an Associate Professor.
After joining, he has established a Cell Culture Lab and is currently in the process of setting up a Molecular Pharmacology Lab.

Research

Our laboratory investigates the kinome landscape in cancer pathogenesis to identify disruptive inhibitors for oncology treatments.
We utilize cutting-edge technologies such as phosphoproteomics with MS/MS and Python-based AI for drug discovery.

  • Description: Receiving a grant of ₹1.15 Crores from ICMR as the Principal Investigator, with Dr. T. S. Ganesan from Oncology, SRIHER, as a Co-Investigator.
