National conference on paediatric education at SRIHER

The 11th National Conference on Paediatric Education – 2024 (NCPE 2024) being conducted from 27th – 29th September at Sri Ramachandra institute of higher education and research (SRIHER) aims to bring together professionals, educators and stakeholders involved in paediatric care and medical education. The conference focuses on improving the quality and scope of education related to paediatrics, addressing both medical and interdisciplinary approaches to child health care. 

The National Conference on Paediatric Education (NCPE) is the Annual conference of the Indian Academy of Paediatrics, Medical Education Chapter which strives to encourage and promote Paediatric Medical Education. Their three key domains are to develop and enhance Knowledge, To initiate paediatric teachers to newer and innovative educational strategies and to function as a link between regulatory body and the stakeholders (Institution, Teachers and Students). 

SRI RAMACHANDRA INSTITUTE OF HIGHER EDUCATION AND RESEARCH is proud to host the 11 th National conference on Paediatric Education 2024 of the IAP –MEC in collaboration with the IAP Tamil Nadu state chapter and IAP Chennai City branch. 

The theme of the conference for this year is Paediatric Medical Education – Empowering professionals and transforming careers is towards the goal of transformational learning. 

This conference is bringing together Academicians, Post Graduates and Paediatric Educators across the country to discuss, deliberate and provide recommendations on both Post graduate and Undergraduate Paediatric education. 

There are seven preconference workshop on Research methodology and writing a paper, Simulation in paediatrics, AETCOM, Virtual reality application in Paediatric training, Self-directed learning, critical thinking and problem-solving skills in teaching, learning and assessment. 

The conference is attended by 150 registrants across the country and another 200 for the pre conference workshop. The scientific sessions are meticulously planned to be interactive and involves undergraduate and paediatric post graduate students. The conference has received around 30 papers and posters on paediatric education, the abstracts will be published in the Indian Academy of Paediatrics, Medical Education Chapter publications.
