SRIHER STUDENTS SET WORLD RECORD IN YOGA

June 12th 2024.

1240 students, faculty and staff of Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher
Education and Research today set a world record in Bhujangasan, the cobra
pose. They held this position for two minutes 54 seconds simultaneous and
synchronously.

The record was certified by Mr. Christopher Taylor Craft, Official
Records Manager of World Records Union. He presented the certificate to Dr.
D.C. Mathangi, HOD, Mind body medicine and life sciences who organised the
event to mark the international yoga day celebrations. Dr. Mahesh Vakamudi,
Pro-Vice Chancellor, Prof. Roopa Nagarajan, Registrar, Dr. T.K. Parthasarathy,
Chief Advisor, Dr. Kavitha Mohan, Yoga expert, Mr. Biju Dev, Yoga trainer
were present on the occasion.
