Womens Day celebration at SRMC2024

‘Each one of us can inspire inclusiveness in others by accepting people as they are, acknowledging their skills and talents, appreciating their contributions and guiding them for any change’ said Dr. Vasanthi Ranganathan, Resource Head, Lake View Learning and Development Center, Chennai while speaking at the international women’s day event at  SriRamachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research here today. Inclusiveness is basic to Indian culture as reflected in the concept of ‘ardhanari’. Just remaining humane is inclusiveness she added.

Speaking on the occasion the Vice Chancellor Dr. Uma Sekar said over 55 present of the faculties and students at Sri Ramachandra are women. While a lot has changed, still the issue of discrimination is seen even in the top multinationals of the world.

Among those who participated in the event were Prof. Roopa Nagarajan, Registrar and Dr. Kalpana Ramachandran, Chairperson, Sri Ramachandra Centre for Women’s advancement which organized the event.
