Quality in higher education is to be built, inculcated, and nurtured to be put into operational systems, measurability, and scalability against the pre-determined set of standards, so that the Indian graduates turn out to be not only locally and nationally relevant but also globally relevant, said Dr. Ved Prakash Mishra, Pro Chancellor, Datta Meghe Institute of Medical Sciences, Wardha, Maharashtra, who inaugurated a three-day Accreditation, Ranking and Quality (ARQ) International Conference at Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research in Chennai today. He stressed the importance of international accreditation for our educational policies.

This ARQ conference is envisioned as a dynamic platform to spark transformative conversations around how institutions can reimagine excellence in higher education. At a time when global standards are evolving and national frameworks are becoming increasingly data-driven, the conference aims to equip stakeholders with practical strategies, insightful models, and innovative mindsets to drive meaningful quality improvement, he also added.

Dr. Uma Sekar, Vice Chancellor, said the goal of policymakers at national and international levels and great educationalists of reputed institutions worldwide is to elevate the standard of education through a robust framework where accountability is built into the systems, and there is continuous improvement in the standards. The aim of this conference is to elevate the standards of future education, and the teachers are committed to it. To set the benchmark for the quality of education, we need innovation in the curriculum. The ARQ conference creates a space for shared learning, where policy meets practice, and metrics translate into movement.
