A ‘Pelvic Health Clinic’ was inaugurated at the Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre on Thursday to promote specialised care for pelvic floor disorders and mark World Continence Week. The clinic was inaugurated by Sonali Santharam, founder of Birth Basix, in the presence of SRIHER trustee Samyuktha Venkataachalam.
Dr. Sonali said continence-related disorders often go untreated because of stigma, misconceptions, and lack of awareness.
Vice-Chancellor Uma Sekar, Pro-Vice-Chancellor Mahesh Vakamudi, Principal of the Faculty of Physiotherapy P. Antony Leo Aseer, faculty members, and students took part in the event, the release added.
