Transforming Research from Output to Impact – Endowment lecture at SRIHER

Sri Ramachandra Faculty of Public Health recently organised Prof. T.K. Parthasarathy Endowment Oration on ‘Transforming Research from Output to Impact’ delivered by the President of AIIMS Bilaspur Prof. Narendra Kumar Arora. 

While speaking on the occasion, he emphasised the need to build a strong ecosystem for collaborative research supported by systematic research audits to identify strengths and gaps to attain goal of Vikshit Bharat. Citing examples such as safer injection practices influenced by evidence, he underscored the role of research in shaping policy while pointing out existing gaps in provider behaviour. The dedicated research development and discoveries can be transformed into policy and innovation. The interdisciplinary collaboration, mentorship, innovation ecosystems, and large-scale studies, stressing that real impact—not just publications—should be the focus, and that sustained, strategic efforts are essential for meaningful public health outcomes, he added.
