At the end of the four-year B.Sc. Clinical Psychology (Hons.) programme, students will be able to:
Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of key concepts, theories, and methods in psychology and clinical psychology, applying them to promote mental health and wellbeing1.
Apply scientific methods and evidence-based approaches to assess, interpret, and address basic psychological issues in individuals and groups
Exhibit effective communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills essential for working with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams in clinical and community settings.
Uphold ethical, legal, and professional standards in all aspects of practice, including confidentiality, informed consent, and respect for diversity and human rights.
Engage in self-directed and lifelong learning to stay updated with advancements in psychology and mental health practice.
Develop the competence to work as a Clinical Assistant (Clinical Psychology) under supervision, supporting preventive and promotive mental health activities, and referring cases requiring advanced intervention.
Critically analyze social, cultural, and environmental factors influencing mental health, and contribute to community-based mental health promotion and advocacy initiatives.
Recognize the boundaries of their professional role, refraining from unsupervised advanced assessments or interventions, and ensuring client safety through appropriate referrals and collaboration.
